North, North Goa
Long before it appeared on a film screen, Chapora was simply a fishing village with a fort watching over it. Then Dil Chahta Hai found its way here, and the fort's crumbling walls became something people travel specifically to stand inside — not for the ruins themselves, but for what they frame: the Chapora River windi…ng out to the Arabian Sea, hills turning gold as the light drops. Below, the beach carries on as it always has — nets drying, shacks filling with the smell of grilled seafood, evenings sliding easily from quiet to lively. Chapora doesn't perform for its visitors. It simply keeps its own rhythm, and lets you fall into step with it.
