Start from the Panaji Church (Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception) and walk downhill toward the Altinho area. Follow the blue-and-white Portuguese street signs into the narrow lanes around Rua 31 de Janeiro and nearby streets. The best way to explore is on foot, as many of the prettiest corners are tucked away from the main roads.
